Alien Illustration
I tried to challenge myself with this illustrative piece and make a window into a sci-fi scene where birthing pools spawn mecha-bugs. Trying to capture the goo as it falls of of a metal alien, the energy eminating from his body, and completing the scene as a whole. This scene has many light sources and mix of organic and geometric shapes proved to be very complex to illustrate.
Character Studies
To better understand the character I drew maps of the character's face to solidify it's proportions. I drew diagrams of what the anatomy of the creature is supposed to look like. I exaggerated features to understand why I gave the main image the proportions I did.
